Introducing OE3: The Next-Gen Adapter
I'm excited to announce that the next-generation adapter, officially named OE3, is now ready for alpha testing! This marks the third generation of adapters released by OpenOcular, and I'm thrilled to share the latest developments with you.
As you may have noticed, the OE3 design has taken a fresh direction since the last update. For those familiar with OE1 and OE2, this new adapter combines the best features of both previous models to create an outstanding solution for adapting your smartphone to your eyepiece lens.
Key Features of OE3:
Stronger clamping force (inspired by OE1)
Self-centering hold (from OE2)
Improved adjustability between camera and adapter body
Intuitive linear adjustment for phone hold, simple and securely locked in place
This design is currently in the alpha testing phase and will soon be available to all beta testers who have signed up. If you're interested in being part of the beta test and getting an early look at OE3, please email me and I'll add you to the list. Beta testing is expected to begin in two weeks.
I'm truly excited about the direction that OE3 is going and can't wait to get it into your hands for testing. Your input will be invaluable in perfecting this design.
Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm. Stay tuned for more updates, and feel free to leave any questions or comments below!
