Full Adapter Prototyped

The next-generation adapter prototype is fully designed, and I have to say, I'm pretty excited about most of the features. There’s one aspect that’s not quite there yet, but let’s focus on the positives first.

I'm thrilled to share that the crucial features we aimed for are working splendidly. The eyepiece clamp now boasts an incredibly strong clamping force, which is a game-changer. Plus, the smartphone clamp is adjustable without needing to tighten a knob. These enhancements are exactly what we need for an exceptional user experience.

However, the feature that's not quite hitting the mark yet is the knob-adjustable Y-axis. This mechanism would allow you to move the phone lengthwise through the clamp. While it’s a stretch goal for this design, it’s not the priority for this iteration. My main goal is to surpass the performance of the OE2 and offer something truly outstanding.

As you can see, this prototype is in a rough design state and needs more refinement. Next steps include better placement and sizing of the knobs, removing the Y-axis feature for now, and overall improving the aesthetics. Hopefully, by the next update, I'll have an Alpha version ready for those who've signed up to test the design.

Stay tuned for more updates. If you have any questions or comments, please let me know below and thanks for your continued support!
